How to Pack
Packing your goods properly is an important part of your move. Using care can assure your move will go smoothly.
Use sturdy moving boxes that you can depend on for protection, be generous in wrapping your belongings with Packing Paper and padding valuable artwork, paintings etc. with Bubble Wrap. Packing paper is great for wrapping dishes and glassware.
Begin packing boxes, two weeks ahead of moving day if possible. Mark each box to identify the contents and the room where it is being moved to, for example garage, bedroom 1, dining room, kitchen etc. Mark your priority boxes which need to be unloaded first, remember these boxes will be loaded on the moving truck last.
Moving is a good time to get rid of excess items, run an ad or have a garage sale to get rid of them. When you donate items to non-profit organizations get a receipt to use as a deduction on your income tax.
Do not pack fragile and heavy items in the same moving box. Use
Medium Boxes for heavier items and
Large Boxes for light-weight-bulky items.

When packing tables, remove their legs, wrap in Moving Blankets and pack on end, this will save space on the moving truck.
Seal the moving boxes with
Packing Tape, make sure the lids are closed as this allows the mover to pack them properly on the truck. Move your dresser drawers with clothes inside, remember to remove all loose items such as change, jewelry etc.
Always buy new moving boxes as using used boxes you have the risk of weak seams, or even eggs laid from roaches etc. especially if the boxes have been sitting in a garage or warehouse for some time.
